The mission of the Delaware County Intermediate Unit, a regional educational service agency, is to provide leadership in the development and delivery of quality, cost-effective programs and services to school communities. 

Art Teacher, Special Programs                    8/03 - Present

*Design a visual arts curriculum with emphasis on personal expression and therapeutic experiential activities, individualized for students in self contained special education programs diagnosed with autism and multiple disabilities

*Teach art history through the use of creative storytelling and art objects from a variety of mediums

*Write grants for specialized projects including purchase of  matting equipment, sensory materials for arts enrichment, an art chair project, and a studio component outside of regular art classes

*Collaborate with visiting teaching artists and parents to conduct enrichment workshops in Pottery and Quilting

*Create, direct, and perform in annual Haunted Stage 

*Enter student artwork in the Pennsylvania Horticulture Societies “Kids Grow Expo”, winning Best in Show ribbons for three consecutive years
